Capacity increase at Csanádpalota interconnection point

As a result of further joint transmission system optimization between SNTGN Transgaz S.A. and FGSZ Ltd. the technical capacity at the Csanádpalota interconnection point (21Z000000000236Q) from Romania to Hungary will be further increased from 3 393 023 kWh/h to 3 502 475 kWh/h, and from Hungary to Romania from 3 358 387 kWh/h to 3 466 722 kWh/h starting from 1 April 2026.

The increased capacity will be offered as a monthly product at the respective monthly capacity auction on 16 March 2026.

The increased capacity will be offered at each subsequent capacity auction in accordance with the CAM NC auction calendar.

The transmission system operators consider this optimization the next step of the Vertical Corridor development, which aims to offer increased transmission capacities for alternative natural gas resources entering the Central Eastern European region from the Southern direction.
