Capacity increase at Csanádpalota interconnection point

The amendment to the Interconnection Agreement (IA) between FGSZ Ltd. and Romanian  SNTGN Transgaz S.A. was signed, concerning the Csanádpalota Romanian-Hungarian interconnection point. 

SNTGN Transgaz S.A. and FGSZ Ltd.  have successfully concluded the amendment of the Interconnection Agreement for the Csanádpalota interconnection point.

According to the agreement, the technical capacity of the Csanádpalota interconnection point (21Z000000000236Q) will slightly increase from 300,000 m3/h to 310,000 m3/h in both directions starting from 1 November 2025.

• From Romania to Hungary from 3 283 570 kWh/h to 3 393 023 kWh/h,
• from Hungary to Romania from 3 250 052 kWh/h to 3 358 387 kWh/h

The increased capacity will be offered as a daily product at the respective daily capacity auction on 31 October 2025. 

The increased capacity will be offered at each subsequent capacity auction in accordance with the CAM NC auction calendar.

The transmission system operators consider this optimization the next step of the Vertical Corridor development, which aims to offer increased transmission capacities for alternative natural gas resources entering the Central Eastern European region from the Southern direction.

FGSZ Ltd.
